DEADLINE CONFIRMS GOYER TO WRITE JUSTICE LEAUGE!

David S. Goyer Confirmed To Write JUSTICE LEAGUE For WB

It seems like those rumors from a while back were true: Along with a very interesting update to Deadline's Man Of Steel sequel story, we (may) have some info straight from Goyer himself while speaking at the movie's premiere.

Along with the news that David S. Goyer would return to work on the script for the Man of Steel sequel, Deadline have now revealed that he's also writing Justice League! "Goyers’ deal is part of a huge 3-picture deal he signed at Warner Bros for Man Of Steel, the sequel, and Justice League with Superman". We reported a rumor that claimed as much a while ago, but there had been no confirmation or debunking, and most of us assumed it was just wishful (or not depending on whether you're a fan) thinking. Also, it seems Kel from Latino Review overheard the writer admit that he's working on the movie at the Man Of Steel premiere:

Of course he may have misheard, but the Deadline info alone would seem to confirm that Goyer is indeed penning WB's Justice League flick. What do you guys think of this news?

GOYER SAYS NOLANS BATMAN IS OVER DIFFERENT BATMAN NO NOLAN BATMAN OR BALE IN JUSTICE LEAUGE THANK GOD! "TDK TRILOGY DOES NOT EXIST IN MAN OF STEEL"

GOYER ON JUSTICE LEAUGE SAYS NOLANS BATMAN OR TDK TRILOGY DOES NOT EXIST IN MAN OF STEEL UNIVERSE! WILL BE NEW BATMAN! YES!
More From David S. Goyer On JUSTICE LEAGUE, Batman And Cyborg? nolans batman doesn't exist in man of steel  universe! New BATMAN!Man of Steel screenwriter David S. Goyer says Christopher Nolan's Batman exists in a completely separate world, so don't expect to see Christian Bale or Joseph Gordon-Levitt on screen with Henry Cavill's Superman.(THANK GOD) Plus, a Cyborg Easter Egg?
MTV caught up with The Dark Knight Rises and Man of Steel screenwriter David S. Goyer at the red carpet premiere of Man of Steel and put him to the question about Justice League and Batman. We've heard news that Goyer was writing Justice League but so far, information has all been from second-hand sources. For now, it appears the only thing truly confirmed is that Goyer is returning alongside director Zack Snyder for the Man of Steel sequel. Touching on Justice League, Goyer state, "If I were offered it, I wouldn't say no. Well, what are you going to do after Batman and Superman? How do you top yourself? I can't go back to Metamorpho after this."

When asked about what other Easter Eggs, Goyer stated, "We mentioned SPOILER: [STAR LABS] at one point, that's kind of a connection to Cyborg." As many DC Comics readers will note, with the launch of The New 52, long-time Teen Titans member Cyborg circumvented that past association and is now one of the founding members of the Justice League. With talk swirling around a potential Justice League film, is it really just a coincidence that Goyer specifically mentions the character?

And when asked whether Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy could ever mesh with what Zack Snyder created in Man of Steel, Goyer added, "The 'Dark Knight' films do not exist in the same universe. Zack [Snyder] has gone on record. The fact that we have Wayne Industries on the satellite, Bruce Wayne exists in this universe. Lex Luthor exists in this universe. Other metahumans do exist in this universe, so the hope is, depending on how the film does, that we'll be able to roll into some other films."
